Frequently asked questions before booking a tour in Seville

Frequently asked questions before booking a tour in Seville: tickets, meeting points, changes and cancellations depending on the activity.

Do you operate all year round?

Yes. The free tours and the guided visits to the Cathedral, the Giralda and the Real Alcázar run all year round. The only seasonal activity is the Holy Week free tour, available from 1 March to 12 April. The specific days with places are shown in real time on each tour page's calendar: if a time does not appear, there is no departure that day.

How physically demanding are the routes?

It depends on the tour and its length. In general they are walking routes and, depending on the format, they combine a stroll through the city with visits to monuments. If you need a more comfortable pace or less walking, a private tour lets you adapt the visit to your group.

How far in advance is it best to book?

Each activity's calendar shows availability in real time and is the most reliable reference. If you are travelling on high-demand dates, it is best to book in advance to secure your place.

When is a private tour worth it?

It is usually the best option if you are an already organised group, want a specific time, are travelling with young children or need to adapt the pace for mobility or specific interests.

What happens if my transport is delayed?

Let us know as soon as you can. On free tours it is sometimes possible to join if the group is still nearby. On tours with a fixed time, we look at alternatives depending on availability and conditions.

Can I change the number of participants?

Adding or reducing participants depends on the places available and on whether there are tickets linked to the booking. Free tours are usually more flexible; on visits with tickets there may be restrictions once they have been issued.

What is the policy in bad weather?

The activity goes ahead unless there are official warnings or announced conditions that prevent it from being carried out safely. If it is cancelled for official reasons, the activity's policy on changes or refunds applies.

Can I contact the guide directly on the day of the tour?

Your booking confirmation includes the contact channel for the day of the visit, as well as the exact meeting point. For any questions beforehand, such as availability, times or changes, our team is available on WhatsApp, and you can also drop by our office at C. Joaquín Guichot, 8, right in the centre.

Where exactly are the meeting points?

Almost all activities start in Plaza del Triunfo, next to the walls of the Real Alcázar and opposite the tourist office. The guide waits with an orange umbrella, so they are easy to spot. The day trips to Córdoba are the exception: they leave from Seville Santa Justa station, and the meeting point in Córdoba is the Puerta del Perdón of the Mosque-Cathedral, on Calle Cardenal Herrero. The exact point for your activity is always in your booking confirmation.

What documents must I bring?

No documents are needed on free tours or city walks. They are essential, however, on visits that go into the Cathedral: the Cathedral Chapter requires named lists and each participant's original ID to enter. And if you book a student or over-65 rate, you will have to prove it with the original document (photos and photocopies are not accepted) or pay the general rate. The reduced student rate applies up to age 25.

What is the maximum group size?

On private tours you can book for groups of up to 30 people, with rates in bands of up to 5, up to 12 and up to 30. On regular visits, from 8 people we recommend switching to a private tour to keep a comfortable pace, and in that case the individual audio system is compulsory so the whole group can follow the explanation.

Are there breaks during the routes?

There are stops during the visit to listen to the explanations and move around in an orderly way. On hot days, where the route allows, shaded areas are prioritised.

Can I take photos during the tours?

Yes, you can take personal photos. Indoors the monument's rules apply, such as avoiding flash where indicated and not using a tripod where it is not allowed.

Is it accessible for wheelchairs?

It depends on the activity. The Night free tour and the Holy Week free tour are wheelchair accessible, as they run along pavements and streets in the centre. The Cathedral is accessible for most of the route, with ramps in chapels and aisles, but the climb up the Giralda ends in 17 steps and is not accessible. In the Real Alcázar and the Patio de los Naranjos there is uneven cobbled ground. On the Córdoba day trip, the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos section is not accessible because of its stairs. Let us know when booking if you use a wheelchair and we will adapt the route.

Can I bring a pushchair on the routes?

Yes, on most of them. The Night free tour, the Santa Cruz tour and the Holy Week tour are pushchair accessible. In the Cathedral you can also bring one for almost the whole route. The exception is the Córdoba day trip: pushchairs must be left at the entrance to the Alcázar during that part of the visit.

Are there special rates for children?

Yes, all paid visits have reduced rates by age. As a reference: at the Cathedral and the Real Alcázar, under-4s go free and ages 4 to 13 pay €15. On the full tour and the pack, ages 4 to 13 pay €26 and under-4s are free. On the Córdoba day trips the age bands vary slightly. There is also a student rate up to age 25, proven with an original document. The exact breakdown is on each tour page.

Can the tour be adapted for older people?

On regular tours the pace is adjusted as far as possible. If you want full control over timings and stops, a private tour is the simplest option for adapting the route to your group.

Are there toilets during the tours?

The routes run through the historic centre, where there are cafés and establishments with toilets along practically the whole way. On visits with indoor sections, the monuments themselves have toilets. If you need to stop during the visit, just tell the guide and they will point you to the nearest one.

Are pets allowed on the tours?

Pets are not allowed on our visits, neither on free tours nor on those that enter monuments. On walking routes this is due to regulations and to keep the group's pace; indoors, because the monuments themselves do not admit them. Assistance dogs are allowed: let us know when booking.

How much does each tour cost?

It depends on the activity. On free tours, booking is free and the contribution is made at the end, with a minimum contribution of €10 per person to take part. On paid tours, the price varies by format and is shown on the tour page before confirming. On the private tour of Seville, the price is per group and depends on length and size: from €150.

How much do people usually contribute on free tours?

The contribution is up to you, but there is a minimum contribution of €10 per person to take part. It is given to the guide at the end of the route.

Are there group discounts?

On regular visits we do not apply an automatic discount by number of people: each place has its own rate. For organised groups, schools or associations, the cheapest option is usually the private tour, priced per group rather than per person: from €150 for up to 5 people and €210 for up to 30, depending on length. Write to us with the dates and number of participants and we will send you a fixed quote.

Are tickets included?

It depends on the tour. For paid visits, the tour page states whether tickets are included. Free tours do not include tickets because they are walking routes through streets and public spaces.

Are there any additional costs not mentioned?

No. The price shown when booking is the price of the activity. It does not include food and drink, the contribution on free tours, transport to the meeting point or entry to monuments not stated on the tour page.

What happens if the activity is cancelled?

If an activity is cancelled because of force majeure or an official closure, a change of date or a refund is offered according to the activity's policy.

When is the best time to visit Seville?

Spring and autumn are the most comfortable times for walking around the centre. March and April also bring Holy Week and the April Fair, with a great atmosphere but also more people and more demand for places, so it is best to book in advance. In summer the heat is intense at midday: if you come in July or August, choose the early-morning or night departures. Winter is quiet and pleasant for visits to interiors.

Is there a dress code at the monuments?

There are no restrictions on city walks. To enter the Cathedral, as it is a place of active worship, it is best to have your shoulders and knees covered: this is the usual rule in religious buildings and avoids problems at the entrance. There is no dress code at the Real Alcázar. In all cases, wear comfortable shoes: there is quite a lot of walking and some cobbled stretches.

Are there restrictions on luggage and backpacks?

Small backpacks and handbags are no problem. At monuments with access control (the Cathedral, the Giralda and the Real Alcázar) suitcases, large backpacks and tripods are not allowed, and there is no left-luggage service. If you are coming straight from the station or your hotel with luggage, leave it first at your accommodation or at a left-luggage office in the centre, because you will not be able to enter with it.

Can monument opening hours change?

Yes, opening hours and access can change with the season, celebrations or one-off closures. The reference is always the information on the tour page and in your booking confirmation.

Any tips for hot days?

If the forecast is hot, it helps to choose a time that suits you and to bring water. If the tour includes outdoor sections, it is also a good idea to wear comfortable shoes and some sun protection.

What should I do if I get separated from the group?

Check your booking confirmation and use the contact channel shown there so we can guide you and you can rejoin as soon as possible.

Where can I share my review of the tour?

You can leave your review on Google or Tripadvisor. If you would rather tell us something directly, you can also write to us through the contact channel shown in your confirmation.

Can I request the same guide for another tour?

You can ask for it when booking by giving the guide's name. Assignment depends on availability and cannot always be guaranteed. It is usually easier to arrange on private tours.

Do you have food recommendations for after the tour?

During the visit the guide usually recommends places to eat depending on the area you are in. If you need specific recommendations, just ask and we will point you in the right direction for your plans.

Do you operate in other cities?

Yes. As well as Seville, we run guided visits and free tours in Córdoba, Granada and Málaga, with our own team of official guides in each city. We also organise day trips from Seville to Córdoba, with the train and tickets already included in the booking.
